Museums

There are currently three museums open to the public in Debabarrena. They are invariably small musems showing how certain towns have interacted with an element that is intrinsically linked to its history.

The influence of the sea on Mutriku, that of production of machine-tools on Elgoibar or agriculture on Lastur have left an indelible mark on the character of these places.

These museums attempt to portray these bonds, though it is in the streets of these towns and villages that the real museum is to be found. So take your time and on leaving each museum, have a wander round the streets and discover the real museum.

Eibar, ciudad taller

Eibar, conocida como la villa armera, ha tenido desde tiempos inmemoriales una especial vinculación con la producción industrial.

Importantes colecciones de armas de fuego y en general, la historia de Eibar contada a través de la industria se cuenta en el Museo de la Industria Armera, que pretende contribuir guardar diversos elementos patrimoniales y conservar la memoria histórica de todos los eibarreres.
