Bentalekua (Mutriku)
The "Bentalekua" museum illustrates Mutriku's traditional ties with the sea. The exhibition is centred around the fish auction, as this is the only original auction room existing along our coast.
Texts, images, sounds and objects allow visitors an insight into the origins of fishing guilds, the way of life in Mutriku, the importance of the port, the fishermen and the key role in the sector played by women, the canning industry, the presence of the "arrantzale" (fishing) culture, their deep-rooted beliefs...
